Advanced Care Practitioner -Gynecology/Women's Health
General Job Summary:
Provides high-quality, patient-centered care within the scope of licensure and in collaboration with supervising physicians. The ACP assesses, diagnoses, and manages patient conditions, supports care coordination, and contributes to operational and quality goals of the practice.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
ACP Core Responsibilities
Delivers comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
Orders, interprets, and communicates diagnostic tests and results
Develops and manages treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
Documents all patient encounters accurately and timely in the EHR
Provides patient and family education on conditions, medications, and care plans
Participates in care coordination and population health initiatives
Supports access through in-person, virtual, and/or procedural visits as applicable
Maintains compliance with clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards
Collaborates with care teams to optimize patient outcomes and experience
Participates in practice initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and team-based care
Other patient care tasks as directed
ACP – Gynecology/Women’s Health Additional Responsibilities:
Provides preventive and routine gynecologic care (annual exams, screenings)
Manages common women’s health conditions
Performs office-based procedures within scope (as applicable)
Educates patients on reproductive and preventive health
Education and Experience
Required:
Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current North Carolina licensure
Board certification (NP or PA-C)
BLS certification (ACLS preferred where applicable)
Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
Preferred:
Prior experience in Gynecology/Women’s Health
Experience in value-based care, care coordination, or population health
Physical Requirements
Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
Must be able to lift and support weight of 35 pounds.
Ability to concentrate on details.
Use of computers for long periods of time.
