We are currently recruiting a family medicine physician to join us in Greater Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable practicing autonomously and independently, as this role requires a high level of self-sufficiency.
- The physician will be responsible for managing a patient load of approximately 18–22 patients per day after an initial ramp-up period.
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care services for patients in an outpatient setting.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions. Also immunizing patients against preventable diseases.
- Prescribing or administering medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Explaining procedures, care plans, test results or prescribed treatments with patients (and their family).
- Monitoring patients' conditions and progress, and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary.
- Providing health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results.
- Referring patients to other medical specialists, when necessary.
- Providing support and advice to patients receiving long-term care.
- Current and unrestricted medical license or willing to obtain a medical license in the state of North Carolina
- Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program of an accredited university
- Board Certification or Eligible to become certified (ABMS or AOA) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate a high level of skill with interpersonal relationships and communication with colleagues/patients
- Fully engaged in the concept of “Integrated team-based care” model
- Superior patient/customer service
- Basic computer skills, including email and EMR. We use Athena
- Active and unrestricted DEA license
- Medicare Provider Number
- Minimum of three to seven years directly applicable experience preferred
