Talent Acquisition Lead

General Job Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Lead serves as Tryon’s primary talent acquisition partner and is responsible for developing and executing recruiting strategies that support the organization’s workforce needs and growth priorities. This position partners closely with leaders, hiring managers, and Human Resources to understand current and future staffing needs, establish recruiting priorities, and attract high-quality talent.

The Talent Acquisition Lead manages the full recruitment lifecycle while also providing leadership for sourcing strategy, candidate experience, recruiting processes, employment branding, and talent acquisition reporting. This role serves as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders, using market insights and recruiting data to guide hiring decisions, improve recruiting outcomes, and ensure a consistent and efficient experience for candidates and hiring managers.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

•  Serve as the primary talent acquisition partner to leaders, hiring managers, and Human Resources.
•  Partner with organizational leaders to understand workforce needs, establish recruiting priorities, and develop hiring strategies for current and anticipated openings.
•  Lead full-cycle recruiting for clinical, operational, corporate, and leadership positions, as assigned.
•  Develop targeted sourcing strategies using professional networks, recruiting platforms, social media, employee referrals, community partnerships, and other appropriate channels.
•  Proactively build and maintain talent pipelines for critical, high-volume, and hard-to-fill positions.
•  Advise hiring managers on position requirements, candidate-market conditions, sourcing strategies, interview practices, and selection decisions.
•  Conduct candidate screenings and assessments to evaluate experience, qualifications, organizational fit, and alignment with Tryon’s mission and values.
•  Create a consistent, timely, and relationship-focused candidate experience throughout the recruiting, interview, offer, and pre-employment process.
•  Establish clear expectations with hiring managers and provide regular updates regarding candidate pipelines, recruiting activity, barriers, and next steps.
•  Partner with Human Resources and organizational leadership to review and improve recruiting workflows, tools, templates, and hiring practices.
•  Develop and monitor talent acquisition metrics, including time to fill, candidate pipeline activity, source effectiveness, offer acceptance, and other measures of recruiting performance.
•  Prepare regular recruiting updates and workforce-planning reports for Human Resources and organizational leadership.
•  Coordinate with external recruiting firms and other talent partners when additional sourcing or search support is needed.
•  Strengthen Tryon’s employment brand and represent the organization at career fairs, professional events, educational institutions, and community recruiting activities.
•  Partner with Human Resources to ensure a smooth transition from candidate selection through pre-employment requirements and onboarding.
•  Maintain accurate and timely applicant records and ensure consistent use of the applicant tracking system.
•  Ensure recruiting and hiring practices comply with applicable federal and state employment laws and organizational policies.
•  Stay informed about recruiting trends, talent-market conditions, compensation considerations, and evolving talent acquisition practices.
•  Provide guidance, training, and recruiting-process support to hiring managers and other individuals involved in candidate selection.
•  Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

•  Minimum of five (5) years of progressive talent acquisition or full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in healthcare or a complex, multi-location organization.
•  Demonstrated experience independently managing multiple searches across a range of position types and levels.
•  Experience developing sourcing strategies and building candidate pipelines for difficult-to-fill positions.
•  Strong consultative skills with the ability to advise and influence hiring managers and senior leaders.
•  Demonstrated ability to prioritize recruiting needs and manage a high-volume, deadline-driven workload.
•  Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting platforms, including LinkedIn and Indeed.
•  Experience using recruiting metrics and market insights to evaluate effectiveness and guide decisions.
•  Strong interviewing, candidate assessment, negotiation, and candidate-care skills.
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•  Strong relationship-building, organizational, and project-management skills.
•  Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion.
•  Working knowledge of applicable employment laws and compliant hiring practices.
•  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Education

•  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
•  An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
•  Talent acquisition or human resources certification preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

•  Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
•  Must be able to lift and support weight of 35 pounds.
•  Ability to concentrate on details.
•  Use of computers for long periods of time.
