We are currently recruiting a primary care physician to join our practice in Steele Creek - a neighborhood in Charlotte, North Carolina.Living in Steele Creek offers residents a dense suburban feel, with a lot of parks, many families and young professionals as your neighbors.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be comfortable practicing autonomously and independently, as this role requires a high level of self-sufficiency
The physician will be responsible for managing a patient load of approximately 20 to 25 patients per day after an initial ramp-up period.
Provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care services to patients in an outpatient setting
Collaborate with other healthcare professional to provide comprehensive patient care.
Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions. Also immunizing patients against preventable diseases.
Prescribing or administering medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
Explaining procedures, care plans test results or prescribed treatments with patients (and their family).
Monitoring patients' conditions and progress, and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary.
Providing health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results. We use Athena!
Referring patients to other medical specialists, when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
Current and unrestricted medical license or willing to obtain a medical license in state of North Carolina
Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
Board Certification or Eligible to become certified (ABMS or AOA) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine
Fully engaged in the concept of “Integrated team-based care” model
